Morgan 18 Months!
Wednesday, July 15th, Morgan turned 18 months old. WOW! Time flies! I took her to the doctor for her check up. Other than a small ear infection and the virus in her mouth with about 10 cankers all over her throat, she was great! Oh, and she had to get 3 shots so she was real happy! I knew something was wrong because she had a slight fever the day before, I was hoping it was just teeth, but no such luck. It was a long couple of days, but she is on the mend and happy once again. Morgan is a petite little gal. She weighs 20 lbs 8 oz and is 30 inches long. That puts her in the 5th percentile for her weight and about 15th percentile for her length. What a shock that she is short too! She is just a doll and I love her to pieces. She loves to talk on the phone, just a pretend one though. If I give her the phone to talk to her dad or my parents she just smiles. She absolutely loves to follow her sister around and wishes she could be as big as her to do all the big things! She loves to be outside - throws a tantrum when we go in. Morgan loves to jump on the trampoline. She loves to ride her little 4-wheeler down the driveway really fast! She has a great laugh and giggle - they will make anyone smile. She is a great cuddle bug, something I am grateful for! She loves to say mom, dad, sissy, more, papa, mama (grandma), ruff ruff, and there are some more words we are working on that she is getting. I love you little bubba!

Girls Night Out (GNO)
A few weeks ago, the gals in my cul-de-sac finally got together for a GNO. We just went to dinner, but it was sure fun hanging out with them and eating yummy food. We used to try to do something once a month with a much larger group, but it got hard and life happens! So, Kristy (red head) planned to just get the girls in the circle together. That way we kept it simple and didn't have to try to work with a bunch of schedules. It is always fun getting to know the ones you live the closest to better.
Happy Birthday, Kenny-O!
June 22nd was my brother's, Kenny, birthday. For those that know Kenny, know that birthday's are a big deal to him! My sister, Suzanne, had his party at her house. We did presents and cake and ice cream. Like his usual self, Kenny wasn't into the crowd of people watching him, but finally started getting into all of his presents. With my parents on their mission in Florida, our other parents (Dave and Vicki Gomez) came to help us celebrate. Dave and Vicki are so good to Kenny, and all of us. We are lucky to have them as such great family friends.
Flip Flops
A couple of weeks ago Morgan became fascinated with Megan's flip flops. No surprise, but Megan leaves her shoes laying around the house for Morgan to find! Morgan was so determined to get these shoes on; she tried and tried. I finally helped her - it was so cute. She actually walked around pretty well too.

Lagoon
In June, we went to Lagoon for Ryan's work Lagoon day. My sweet niece, Caitlin, watched Morgan for us so we didn't have to worry about nap time, strollers, all of that stuff. Plus, Megan needed some one on one time with mom and dad. We had a good time. It was hot; the one day that it didn't rain in June! Kiddie land was a zoo, but Megan had fun. We tried to talk her into going on the Tidal Wave, but she saw it and wanted nothing to do with it. She went on the kid cars, the boats, Puff, carousel, log ride, Rattlesnake Rapids (which she loved), and of course the Sky Ride! After the boats she told me she wanted to go on the pirate ship ride with us (Tidal Wave). I didn't waste anytime and we went right over. We got right on and sat in the front, middle. She was okay at first, then the ride got going higher and higher. She lost it! She started crying and screaming, "I am going to die!" Ryan was sweet and sensitive trying to console her and telling her to just close your eyes and was holding on to her. I was was holding on to her too, but I was just laughing. How mean of me, right?!?! I wasn't laughing so she could hear me, but I was laughing uncontrollably. When we got off the ride, she said she did not like it at all. However, the next day that was her favorite ride! Ryan and I didn't ride big rides; we let this day be for Megan. We did bounce back on July 3rd with my sister Suzanne and her husband Shawn. Just adults so all we did were the big rides. I love roller coasters and this was a good fix!
The baby boats. Megan insisted on going on this ride. I think she thought it was boring when she was done.

The Front Yard
I love our yard! We have spent a lot of time (and money) over the last few years to get it all put together. I took some pictures awhile ago because it just looked good! This was in the spring before all of the June rain and now the July heat. I will get more posted soon so you can see all of the blooms and the backyard.

The End of Soccer Season
Soccer season 2009 is over. Megan had a great time and is always talking about playing next time. I am so glad she had a good time and she was on a great team. I was also happy that her teams games were always over by noon and didn't take up the entire Saturday. Megan was always willing to get right in there and be with the action. Here are some pictures from the last couple of games.
My 31st Birthday
My birthday came and went the end of May; nothing too big. When I was younger my birthday's were always a big deal because I made them that way! I would count down for months and drive my sisters and brothers crazy. Of course, they don't let me forget about those days either. Since my birthday is usually over Memorial Day weekend or close by, our family was always at the Morgan Family Cabin. I didn't mind this one bit though. I was the lucky one who always had aunts, uncles, and cousins around for her birthday!! It was always a good time. This year for my birthday, nothing real exciting happened. I did meet my brother-in-law downtown at a car dealership to test drive a car. I loved it, but I wasn't sure how Ryan would feel. Shawn was kind enough to arrange to drive it home and brought it by our house that night so Ryan could see it and drive it. Well, the next day it became ours! Thanks Shawn for helping us out! So, I like to say that this is what I got for my birthday...
