At Megan's school in the 3rd grade, they do a wax museum for their presentation on a biography. Megan choose to be Emma Watson aka Hermione Granger. She and I worked on her poster and I was able to borrow a costume for her to use. After I finished her hair in the morning, I couldn't believe how much she looked like Hermione! She did a great job at being a wax figure!

A Wish Come True
Have you ever wanted something that you could never have? I am sure...everyone has something they really want. Well, one of those things for me is long hair. Yes, I really want long hair and never could grow it. One of the reasons I couldn't grow it is because I would always end up chopping my hair off, but hey, it still wouldn't grow. I have very fine, thin hair and when it got to a certain point in length, it pretty much stops growing. I had told Ryan for a long time that I just need hair extensions, but that wouldn't ever happen because I am too cheap! So my friend's daughter has these extensions and they are pretty great. The best part, you clip them in and out and they are affordable. So, my birthday wishes finally came true...my hair finally grew!
Oink! Oink!
This kid is a crack up! She makes me laugh every single day. They were learning the animals at school and this particular day was PIG DAY. She begged me to take her picture and send to Grandma Kay - I was happy too. The snout is made from a portion of an egg carton and they colored it with pink chalk. They also put pink chalk on their cheeks too. Seriously, how could this not make you smile and laugh?!?! Oink! Oink!
Mom and Sister's Only!
Back in May, my mom, sisters and I all got together for 4 days of being just us! We decided to go to Vegas because it got us "away" and it was easier/cheaper for Kristin to fly into Vegas. Suzanne and I started off by leaving SLC and going to St. George. We picked up mom and Allie the next day and left for Vegas. We checked into our condo and then headed to the airport to get Kristin. We ate a lot, lounged at the pool a lot, and shopped a lot. It was good times. We have never been just us before; someone always had a kid or two or a husband, someone. So we just made it happen and it was so great. I love my mom and sisters...they are not just my family, but my best friends.

Accidents Happen
My mom and Megan had a car accident. My mom felt so bad and Megan was so scared. The police officer was super nice to my mom and Megan; Megan was mostly worried that she was going to get in trouble. All turned out okay in the end. My mom was a month without her car while it was fixed; Megan survived; and the other person was totally fine as well. In fact, he said the worst that happened was some of his Diet Pepsi spilled on his shoe! It was pretty funny and all turned out fine in the end.
