Because She's Cute

Why am I posting these pictures of Morgan? Because she's cute and I'm the mommy, that's why!

Jordan Knoll Cir

So in the last post I made mention of us moving, well we have moved. Only about a half a mile away, but far enough that we are in a different city and we are in different school and church boundaries. We have been one of the many hit by the economic situation and with Ryan having a residential construction business, things haven't gone as "planned". We have struggled through the last couple of years and we are more than ready to move on and "start over". Of course, things haven't gone the way we hoped, but we have grown and learned a lot. We left a great house, great neighborhood, great friends, and a fabulous cul-de-sac lot. We took with us great kids and all of our "stuff". Megan was so concerned that we wouldn't be able to take our stuff when we moved, but we definitely took all of our stuff. In preparation for moving, we had a dumpster brought to our house so we could get rid of a lot...we were successful - we filled the entire dumpster, but we still manage to have a lot! So for our history, here our pictures of our 2nd home in South Jordan. Goodbye, Jordan Knoll Cir.

Our fire hydrant drinking fountain! All of the neighbor kids loved this. Yes, it is a real fire hydrant and yes, it came with us!

Megan Turns 7

On March 8th, Megan turned 7. She is always excited for her birthday and this year was no different. However, she got sick in the middle of the night. I thought it was just because she was tired and thought she was fine. I got up and got ready for work, but then she woke up really sick again. I asked her if she felt like she needed to stay home and she said yes. I knew she was really sick because what 7 year old wants to miss school on their very birthday? So she and I stayed home. I asked her if she wanted to cancel the family coming over that evening, but she said she felt well enough. Her birthday dinner request was lasagna and Grandpa Joe's chocolate cake with special chocolate frosting (so yummy). She ate very little dinner, and I can't blame her after being sick most of the day. When the family came over she was pretty upbeat. She is always excited when family is around and it made it even better that they all spoiled her rotten! It took about 1 1/2 hours, but she finally wore out and got to the point where she couldn't play any longer and was ready for bed. So, it wasn't the best birthday, but it definitely wasn't the worst either.

Of course Grandma and Grandpa Morgan sent her a birthday package!

Tinkerbell flip flops all the way from Florida!

She actually got 2 journals. One from Grandma and one from Rob & Amy's family.

She was done for the night. She was really happy with the Wizards of Waverly Place wand...it was a must!
