Good Friends

So we are moving...I will get to that story later. My sweet next door neighbor, Gina, called and told me they were giving me a little party to say see ya later! Not goodbye because hopefully I will still see them all around. Anyway, I felt silly that they were doing this; I was honored and pleased, but I just felt silly. I kind of felt like I was going on a mission and this was my farewell - closest I will ever get I guess! I was so lucky to live by such great gals for 6 1/2 years; sad to leave, but life does this to us. I have definitely made some lifelong friends and I was completely honored that they would give me a party!

Randee and I served as camp directors. Let me tell you, we hit it off from the first minute we met! We were so in sync from day one. She has been a rock for me and she has been my "mom" while my mom is in Florida.

**Not pictured is Tiffany. I don't know how I didn't get a picture of Tiff. She was the YW Pres and love her. She and I could be twins-not because of looks, because of personality, etc.
I can't say enough about these women. Love you all!!!

Just a quick note to my mom and dad...Happy Birthday! They both have February birthdays; in fact they are only 11 days apart! My parents are the best mom and dad and best grandma and grandpa. We love you both and miss you tons...see you in May!

My Baby is 2

Morgan turned 2 on January 15th. I can't believe she is 2 already - time sure does go by fast. We had our families over for cake and ice cream and of course Morgan was spoiled! Ryan and I got her 2 pairs of flip flops and she loved them. She was thrilled with all of her gifts, the cake, and the attention! She totally loved the dress that my mom and dad sent her - she had to put it on right at that moment! I sure love my spunky, little chica! She is on the small side (what a shock), but you wouldn't know it by the way she acts. She thinks she is as big as her sister and can do anything she does. She is definitely our bully, daredevil, and free spirit! She brings a huge smile to my face when I pick her up or get home from work - she comes running to me and gives the best loves. She is learning a lot, talking a lot, and just plain cute. She loves to talk on the phone to anyone (thank you to those that talk back to her). She is still a cuddler, which I love. She is thinking about being potty trained and doing pretty well considering I am not pushing the issue. She does have an ornery side and watch out for that attitude! However, last night she threw a fit and I ignored her and then about 5 minutes later she came and said "sorry mommy" all on her own - love that girl. Looking back to when I was pregnant with her, I was sure miserable due to the RA. I was lucky enough to have good family around me to help me through those long 8 and a half months, but man she sure was worth it! I love this little gal to pieces. Her laugh is hilarious and incredibly contagious. Love you sweet little MJ!

Christmas 2009

Our Christmas traditions are pretty basic. We spend Christmas Eve at Ryan's parents, the girls get their Christmas jammies, milk, cookies, and carrots for Santa and the reindeer. Christmas morning we wake up and open the gifts, have some breakfast, go to Staley's for a bit, back home, then off to my family get together for Christmas night. Since my parents moved to St. George we have rotated where we have had our party...this year it was at Suzanne's house. Of course this year was bittersweet because my parents are serving their mission in Florida so we got a visit from them via Skype. We also were able to visit with Brandon and his family via Skype; they are living in the Azores Islands. Somehow we weren't able to connect on Skype with Kristin and her family, but we talked to them all the next day. Overall, we had a great holiday and the girls were happy!

1st Grade Christmas Program

The 1st Graders at Rose Creek Elementary put on an awesome Christmas Program. It was a story about Ted E. Bear trying to find Christmas. There were lots of songs with actions and lots of speaking parts. Megan was lucky enough to get a speaking part. She had her lines memorized within the first two days of bringing it home and practiced all the time. Then the dress rehearsals started...and she got nervous. Megan is a little timid at times and sometimes getting in front of crowds is hard for her. Well, her grandma Marilyn told her that she would go to the first dress rehearsal, which is in front of the school, and that made Megan feel like she could do it. She did awesome! Ryan and I went to the night time performance the next day. The whole group was so great. I was so impressed with how well they all sang the songs and everyone knew all of the words - there were a lot of songs! Morgan had fun running around and trying to get into trouble - she is really good at that!
